Bailiffs may only take control of goods that belong to the debtor.[1]
If bailiffs take control of goods that do not belong to the debtor, the owner makes a third-party claim.[2][3]
The owner of the goods can recover damages,[4] and costs[5][6][7] from the bailiff company.
